FLOEX – composer, electronic producer and clarinet player, has been a prominent figure on the electronic music scene for more than 25 years. His distinctive artistic language, seamlessly blending electronic and acoustic elements into richly atmospheric compositions, has earned him recognition both in the Czech Republic and internationally. Alongside a series of acclaimed solo albums he has composed music for award-winning video games, films and dance productions. His soundtracks have gained a devoted following around the world. Throughout his career, FLOEX has received numerous accolades, including four Czech music Awards called Anděl.
The new conceptual album “Directors” explores the diverse ways introduce a distinctive vision of contemporary neoclassical music, balancing the exposed textures of analogue synthesizers with the rich timbre of an acoustic sextet. Directors show that this genre can be deeply emotional and full of twists – where electronics feel “orchestral” and classical music sounds “clubby.”
